Copper To The World: Adelaide May 9-11

ICAA CEO, John Fennell, talks copper industry innovation for sustainable mining and the launch of the Collaborative Impact Platform with AMIRA Global to help make sure it happens.

The Austmine 2023 Copper to the World Conference & Exhibition in Adelaide on May 9 to 11, is one of the copper industry’s most important networking events, attracting miners, peak bodies, government agencies and cutting edge companies & startups.

ICAA—International Copper Association Australia—has a long relationship with the Conference. John Fennell launched the Zero Emissions Mining project here in 2019 as well as a series of cutting edge studies on Water and Materials Movement since, and with Minerals Processing out soon.

This year is a standout however. Speaking on May 9 he is outlining a partnership with AMIRA Global to create the Collaborative Impact Platform—a comprehensive knowledge portal providing open access to current, developing and future sustainable mining technologies.

The Platform is a global first. With the support of CRC Ore and partners, the NSW Govt and International Copper Association members it has collaboration and innovation at its heart.

As John says, “the Platform is a multi-staged project to deliver an elegant and comprehensive tool for industry to boost knowledge exchange, research and the adoption of leading technologies to enable, guide and shape the global resources industry of the future.”

John Fennell is speaking at Copper to the World at 11.55am Tuesday 9th May 2023 at the Adelaide Convention Centre Halls H & J.
